THE LAST LIBERAL, a new comedy by Bob Potter, premiering February 17–25
at Santa Barbara’s Center
Stage Theater.
It’s 2042, America is a corporation run by a gang of inept fanatics and a cloned figurehead, and liberals are an endangered species. The play begins as the last remnants are being hunted down. Who turns out to be The Last Liberal? What tribulations and raptures lie ahead? Does he/she escape to lead a surprising and successful New American Revolution? In your dreams! And in our play!
The cast for this premiere production includes Martin Bell, Marissa Casados, Brittany Conyers, Brian Hansen, Sage Parker Lang, Nanci Mendez, Robert Riechel, Justin Stark and Joseph Velasco. THE LAST LIBERAL will be staged by rising New York Director (and ex- Dramatic Women member) Heather Ondersma, with sets and lighting by Vickie Scott and costumes by Elizabeth Shepard.
