Paper Dragons

PAPER DRAGONS is written by Laura Jones, a recently graduated BA student at UCSB, and directed by Carol Fischer, PhD student in the Department of Theater at UCSB.

The Story

Maggie and Jon are the parents of 13 year old twins, Ally and her severely autistic brother Jamie. Ally has been the best communicator with Jamie, but is experiencing her own teenage angst, desiring to be a separate individual with specific 13 year old female passions and activities. Each family member is struggling to make adjustments at this point in their lives, while continuing to love one another in the midst of this transitional time. PAPER DRAGONS is tender, yet unwilling to state answers where there are none.
